Weez Hefner

Owner
Weez attended the Universities of Wisconsin and Minnesota, where she studied Business Management. Her 30 years of Retail Management experience opened the door to becoming a self-made and successful Business Owner. 

Weez purchased Tropical Tanning in 2006, and expanded to a full spa service in 2010. She's passionate about her business but even more spirited when it comes to being a "Mom" to her bulldog Bentley as well as Rocky a Blue merle Pomeranian and Jr. a Toy Fox Terrier. When the boys are not keeping her busy she helps with SoCalBulldog Rescue.

Ashley - Spa Director

Esthetician and Massage Therapist

Ashley is both a Massage Therapist and Esthetician. She started her journey in 2011 at Milan Institute where she graduated with a degree in Cosmetology with 1600 hours. Since then, her passion for helping people feel and look good has only gotten stronger. 


In 2014, she Graduated from Milan Institute as a Massage Therapist with 750 hours and in 2016 she continued to advance her education in Esthetics at International School of Beauty with 650 hours.  She was born and raised in the Coachella Valley. In her spare time,  Ashley loves spending time with her husband, family and their dog Tyson.

Cassie - Spa Manager

Hi! I'm Cassie. 


I’m a specialist in lashes and full-body waxing with 8 years of experience, and I absolutely love the work I do here as your Spa Manager. I strive to make every appointment a seamless, positive experience for both men and women, ensuring that every guest leaves feeling like the best version of themselves. Beyond my time in the treatment room, I also oversee the professional development of our team, training our estheticians whenever needed to ensure our high standards of care are consistent across the board.


My goal is to combine technical precision with a warm, welcoming environment where you can truly relax and feel at home. Off the clock, you’ll usually find me curled up with a book, out riding dirt bikes and quads with my husband, or doting on our four dogs and two cats.

As a practicing Licensed Esthetician, dedicated Esthetician Instructor, and Business graduate, I approach skincare with a 360-degree perspective. I don't just provide treatments; I educate my clients and students alike on the science and strategy behind healthy skin.


My mission is to blend professional artistry with business-minded results to elevate the standard of beauty. With six years of hands-on experience as a practicing Esthetician, I’ve mastered the art of the glow—and as a mother of three and a recent Business graduate, I’ve mastered the art of the juggle.


I know exactly how precious your time is. My mission is to provide expert-level skincare education and result-driven treatments that fit into your real life.

I specialize in advanced facial treatments and precision Brazilian waxing. My goal is to provide a master-level experience that blends technical expertise with a strategic approach to beauty.

Cosmetologist and Reiki Master

Elliet is a licensed cosmetologist and Reiki Master who has been focused on skin care since 2015. She loves creating calm, restorative experiences that help clients feel cared for, refreshed, and more at home in themselves. Elliet brings a gentle, intuitive approach to each session and enjoys meeting clients where they are, offering practical, everyday at-home care guidance to help them maintain their results in a way that feels realistic and supportive. Outside of the spa, Elliet is a wife and mom, a creative entrepreneur, and loves cooking, gardening, writing, and building a beautiful life with her family.

Holly

Front Desk

Hi, I’m Holly! I work the front desk, provide spray tanning services, and oversee social media for the spa. I love helping create a welcoming experience for every client while also showcasing what we offer online.


Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my cats and dog, being with family and friends, and getting creative—whether that’s through social media, music, concerts, or making jewelry.

Maria

Esthetician and Massage Therapist

I am a licensed Massage Therapist and Esthetician with a lifelong passion for skincare and beauty.


From a young age, I knew I wanted to pursue a career in the skincare industry, and I began my education immediately after graduating high school. While attending esthetics school, I also discovered a strong passion for massage therapy, which led me to become certified as a Massage Therapist while earning my Esthetician license.


Since graduating in 2018, I have continued to expand my knowledge through advanced skincare courses and ongoing education. I am passionate about helping clients feel confident and cared for through customized facials, waxing services, massage therapy, and body treatments.

My name is Millie. With 17 years of experience as a massage therapist, I bring a deep passion for healing and wellness to the Coachella Valley community. I specialize in deep tissue and sports therapy, though I am highly skilled across various modalities to meet each client's unique needs. There is nothing I find more rewarding than helping people feel their best and improve their quality of life through touch.


When I’m not at the table, I’m a proud mom to two beautiful daughters and stay active through regular workouts. I love exploring the vibrant Palm Springs food scene, traveling whenever possible, and soaking up quality time with my friends and family.

Hey, I’m Eneida. I’ve been a massage therapist for 15 years, and I absolutely love what I do. I’m also a passionate mental health advocate, so for me, every massage is about more than just relaxation—it’s about helping you feel balanced and whole.


I love hiking, dancing, and spending time with my family, and my favorite massage is therapeutic—it lets me blend different techniques to really tailor each session to you. I can’t wait to meet you and help you recharge.

Hello, my name is Joana. I'm a massage therapist, and I got my license in 2019. I have been with Desert Zen Day Spa since 2024. I got into massage therapy thanks to a family member who is also a massage therapist, who helped me realize the joy of helping others relax and alleviate pain.


In my free time, I enjoy going on trips with my family, playing video games, and watching sports. I look forward to helping you relax and recover.

Esthetician

I’ve been working as a facial specialist for about a year, and I have nearly 10 years of experience in facial threading, eyebrow shaping, and Tinting. 

I truly enjoy what I do, and nothing makes me happier than seeing my clients feel refreshed, confident, and glowing after each service.


I hold a Cosmetology license from my home country, and I’m passionate about gaining experience in different areas of the beauty industry and continuing to grow professionally.


I also love reading books, and I deeply enjoy quiet moments, solitude, and peace.
